Why We Are
Building Setter

Volleyball has the depth, drama and global community a great manager game needs.

Setter comes from a small Belgian team of three founders. Our earlier work on Volley Squadra, a fantasy volleyball product, is part of our connection to the sport. With Setter, we are taking on a different challenge: building a management game that carries that involvement through an entire club career.

We also want that career to feel connected to the wider volleyball world. Clubs have identities, supporters and rivalries. Following a team means understanding something about its place in the sport, beyond its position in a table.

That is why working with leagues, clubs and players matters to us. Building authentic content takes time and cooperation. We are approaching it step by step, with the ambition of creating a world that volleyball fans recognise and care about.

There is still plenty to prove.

A simulation can produce a plausible score without producing a convincing match. A transfer system can function correctly while making decisions feel too easy. A detailed interface can contain everything a manager needs and still make it difficult to find the next useful action.

Getting those things right requires testing, criticism and revision. We want feedback from people who know volleyball inside out, from experienced management-game players and from people discovering the genre. Each group will notice something different.

Our ambition is to make a game that rewards an understanding of volleyball while giving newcomers room to learn. A game where building a balanced squad feels satisfying, tactical decisions deserve thought and the next season offers a reason to keep playing.

We are building Setter because we believe volleyball can sustain that experience. The sport already has the decisions, the tension and the stories. Our job is to turn them into a game worth spending time with.
